Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Decree "On Measures to Develop a Culture of Reading and Create a Reading Nation."

The document aims to develop human capital, strengthen the intellectual and cultural potential of society, and promote reading as an important part of education, upbringing, and enlightenment.

The Decree's main objectives are:
* creating a reading nation;
* increasing interest in books and literature;
* creating conditions for developing a reading culture among children and young people;
* supporting libraries and publishing;
* cultivating creative, constructive, and competitive individuals.
